The following are some frequently asked questions regarding the staff, services, and employment policies by the clients and prospective nurses and caregivers recruited by Ameliorate staffing agency.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS OF HIRING AMELIORATE CAREGIVING STAFF?

All nurses and caregivers recruited by Ameliorate staffing agency need to fulfill our skills and experience
criteria before they can be interviewed and processed further.

An employment offer is made only after the satisfactory completion of a civilian background check
and/or drug test according to the place of work’s testing criteria.

The applicant would need to finish the finalization process upon recruitment. This approach would
ensure that all federal, state and local enforcement information has been fulfilled and ensure that the
applicant knows the policies and procedures. Before beginning work, the applicant will be required to
complete all the necessary documentation and will be provided an opportunity to ask any questions
about the recruitment process and the new job.

Every employee on probation is employed for a pre-determined number of hours. To support both our
employee and their future employer (client) and see how well our employees can fit into their
environment, these hours are regarded as a trial period.


The employee will be assessed regarding participation, actions, and performance during this period.
Reviews would be made by the prospective employer’s recruiting supervisor. If the work arrangement is
not acceptable for one or both parties for any reason, the employment contract can be terminated at
any time. If a decision is made to hire the employee after the probationary period, the employee will be
entered into the payroll and will become a permanent employee.

DOES AMELIORATE STAFFING AGENCY HAVE A POLICY AGAINST HARASSMENT?

Harassment by any caregiver recruited by Ameliorate is seen as a violation of the staffing agency’s policy. For example, we strictly prohibit all forms of sexual harassment whether it is physical or verbal conduct of a sexual nature, asking for sexual favors, or making unwelcome sexual advances. The anti- harassment policy of Ameliorate staffing agency comes into effect when:

- An employee has implicitly or explicitly agreed to abide by the policy and refrain from any kind of sexual misconduct

- The agreement to or rejection of this policy is the basis of making employment decisions

- Non-compliance with this policy can lead to poor performance of the employee or create an unhealthy or hostile work environment

WHAT IF A CLIENT IS NOT HAPPY WITH A CAREGIVER?

Our Care Manager will meet with our clients or their families several times before care or support is put in place. We will then respond to any problems that arise.

The Care Manager will contact them once the support or care is put in place. This ensures that they have everything they need to manage any problems.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE NEEDS OR THE REQUIREMENTS OF A CLIENT CHANGE?

Through regular assessments and reviews, we can monitor your care package's changes. If at any point you would like to amend your package, we will do our best to accommodate you.
